Experience Mexico like never before as we travel to the Northern Sierra of Puebla to Cuetzalan, el Pueblo Mágico, or the magical town, where it’s welcoming inhabitants continue to speak and practice the ways of their ancestors.  From July 1-8 over  7 days and 7 nights, prepare to be marveled as we delve into the wisdom of ancient Anahuaca medicine while exploring fascinating traditions, ceremonies, archaeological sites, hike through the lush landscape of the sierra, and soak in rivers while captivated by impressive waterfalls.  Walk through the cobblestone streets of Cuetzalan to visit the local tianguis or marketplace, pick up handcrafts, watch the Voladores spin high above ground in the plaza, and enjoy the rich local culture.

Retreat Package includes two important stages:

STAGE 1: Live online learning via zoom will begin one month prior to travel where theoretical concepts will be presented prior to hands on training in Mexico. This part of the training will also be recorded for your review and must be completed prior to travel.  Stage 1 includes 3 training modules from May 30 to July 21.

STAGE 2: Hands-on learning on location in Cuetzalan, Puebla, Mexico.  Stage 2 includes 4 training modules from July 1-8, 2024

At this retreat in Cuetzalan, you will not only immerse yourself in ancient medicine, but you will also revel in the mysteries of the region through two captivating tours. These tours will take you to archaeological sites full of history and majestic waterfalls that will leave you breathless. Get ready for an enriching experience full of discoveries.

1st Tour: Pyramids & Local Habitat

We will  take a private shuttle to the Yohualichan Archaeological Zone to discover the local history and mysteries of ancient civilizations as we explore nearby archaeological sites. From pyramids to temples, each will be a window to the past. Next we will head to the Xoxoctic Botanical Garden to experience the biodiversity of the region and learn about medicinal plants, their healing properties and how they have been used over centuries.

2 Tour: Hike to Waterfalls and Springs:

• “Las Brisas” Waterfall
• “Las Golondrinas" Waterfall
• “Las 3 Caidas" Waterfall

Cuetzalan is a natural sanctuary filled with underground cave systems, springs, rivers and over 100 waterfalls so prepare to do some hiking along the Tecolutla River through a lush landscape to visit three of the most magical waterfalls. Among the most impressive, are Las Brisas, Las 3 Caidas, and Las Golondrinas. These are among Cuetzalan’s best kept treasures. In fact, some of the stones along the trails to the waterfalls in Cuetzalan were laid over 700 years ago by Totonacans.

Regular all inclusive cost $2800 dollars

Book before April 25 with a $500 deposit and receive 15% of the total price of the retreat.
